Cancellation, Access & Digital Content Policy

1) Definitions

  • We/Us/Our: Akademia Księgowości.
  • You/Your: the customer.
  • Digital Products: online courses, ebooks, downloadable files (PDFs, worksheets, templates), recordings, and any other digital materials supplied electronically.
  • Package: a bundle/set of products (courses only, ebooks only, or mixed).
  • Subscription: a recurring monthly or yearly payment plan that continues access while active.
  • Consumer: an individual acting for purposes mainly outside their trade, business, craft, or profession.

2) Access period (1 year)

  1. One-year access: Access to every paid online course, ebook, Package, and any other Digital Product is granted for 12 months (365 days) from the date payment is received (the “Access Period”).
  2. End of access: At the end of the Access Period, your login access to the platform and hosted materials may end unless you purchase a new access period or continue via a Subscription (where available).
  3. Packages: All Packages are accessible for 365 days from the payment date unless a Subscription applies.

3) Downloads and keeping your materials

  1. Ebooks and downloadable documents: Where we provide ebooks and course resources as downloads (for example PDFs, worksheets, templates), you may download and store them on your own device/hard drive for your personal use during the Access Period so you can retain them after access ends.
  2. Hosted/streamed materials: Video lessons and other hosted platform content are generally provided for viewing within the platform and may not be downloadable, unless we explicitly state otherwise on the product page.

4) Subscriptions, auto-renewal and continuing access

  1. Some courses and Packages offer a Subscription option (either from the start or after the first year).
  2. Auto-renewal: If you choose a Subscription, it renews automatically on a monthly or yearly basis (depending on what you selected) until cancelled.
  3. Access while paid: While your Subscription is active and payments are up to date, it continues/renews access to the Digital Products included in your Subscription (courses, ebooks, and other included elements) for as long as the Subscription remains paid.
  4. Non-payment: If a Subscription payment fails or the Subscription is cancelled, access may be suspended or removed.
  5. Scope: Access under a Subscription covers only what is stated as included at the time of purchase (and any updates we clearly communicate as included).

5) Pre-purchase information and acceptance

  1. Before purchase, you are provided with information about the Digital Product style, method of study, learning format, and the materials included through one or more of the following:
    • clear descriptions on our website product pages,
    • email information sent before purchase, and/or
    • a one-to-one conversation (online or otherwise).
  2. By placing an order, you confirm that you have reviewed the information provided and that the product is suitable for your needs.

6) Education outcomes, qualifications and results disclaimer

  1. No nationally recognised qualification: Our courses are learning/training programmes and do not grant, award, or issue any nationally recognised qualification and do not create any professional status or licence to practise.
  2. No guarantee of results: We do not guarantee that you will become an accountant, obtain employment, pass any exam, or achieve a particular income or outcome.
  3. Your responsibility: Your progress depends on your effort, time, consistency, prior knowledge, and understanding of the subject. You are responsible for applying what you learn and for checking any external requirements that apply to your goals.

7) Legal and regulatory changes

  1. Our courses, ebooks, and video materials may include information about tax, accounting, and related rules. Laws, regulations, guidance, thresholds, rates, and official interpretations can change during your Access Period or Subscription.
  2. We make reasonable efforts to keep our materials up to date and may update content during your access. However, we do not accept responsibility for losses, penalties, claims, or outcomes arising because course/ebook/video content becomes out of date after your purchase or because rules change.
  3. You are responsible for checking the current rules and applying the most up-to-date law and official guidance before making decisions, submissions, filings, or calculations. Where required, you should verify information using official government sources and/or obtain professional advice.

8) Cancellation and refunds

8.1 14-day cancellation right

If you are a Consumer, you generally have a legal right to cancel within 14 days starting from the day after the contract is formed (usually the day after purchase).

8.2 Digital content – when refunds are not available

Because our products are supplied digitally, refunds are not available once you begin using the Digital Product, including where any part of the Digital Product has been accessed, opened, read, streamed, watched, or downloaded (for example: opening course content, playing a lesson video, or downloading any file).

8.3 Cancelling before using the Digital Product

If you cancel within 14 days and you have not accessed, opened, read, streamed, watched, or downloaded any part of the Digital Product, you may cancel for a full refund.

8.4 No refunds after 14 days

We do not accept refund requests submitted after 14 days from purchase.

9) How to cancel

To cancel, email contact@akademiaksiegowosci.co.uk and include:

  • your full name,
  • order number (or the email used to purchase), and
  • The name of the Digital Product.

Your cancellation takes effect on the date we receive your cancellation email (we will acknowledge receipt as soon as reasonably possible). If you cancel, you must stop accessing the Digital Product immediately.

10) Refund timing and method

Where a refund is due, we will process it as soon as possible and within 14 days of receiving your valid cancellation notice. Refunds are issued to the original payment method unless agreed otherwise.

11) Licence, personal use, and protecting our content

Misuse: If we reasonably believe there has been sharing, copying, redistribution, or other misuse, we may suspend or terminate access without refund.

Personal licence only: Your purchase grants a personal, non-transferable licence for your own learning during the Access Period (or during an active Subscription).

No sharing or redistribution: You must not share logins, resell, redistribute, publish, upload, or provide our Digital Products or materials to third parties (including via groups, forums, or social media).
